Why Pre-order
This could have been a great sweater, but the sizing is bad. There is a seam at the natural waist that is true to size. I got the L and it fit my 31.5" waist comfortably but not loose. I don't know that I could have gotten a M over my head or to be comfortable. Above that, the sweater is massive, like if I so much as blinked it fell off both shoulders. Not even feasible for wearing at home.
This could be fixed with two alterations. 1. Take in the horizontal back strap by 1.5-2". I tried it out with safety pins and it made a huge difference keeping the sweater up on my shoulders and hiding my bra front and back. 2. Make some sort of loop or strap for attaching the sweater to the bra straps at the top of the shoulders. I just tucked the edge of the sweater under my bra straps. If you have a well fitting bra, this will further keep the sweater from sliding off the shoulders, and hide the bra straps for sure if that's important to you. With these two changes, I couldn't see my bra at all, front or back, and the sweater looked pretty much like in the pictures (I'm a 36DD).
This could have been a pretty great sweater, but I don't feel like doing the alterations necessary to make it safe to wear outside the house. For fit, there is a fixed seam at the natural waist that fit me comfortably (I have a 31.5" waist). I'm not sure I could have gone down a size and gotten the sweater on over my head. But the upper part of the sweater is massive and falls off both shoulders if you so much as blink.
This could be fixed with two alterations. 1. Shorten the back horizontal strap by 1.5-2" (I tried it using safety pins, that was a good amount and made a huge difference). 2. For convenience, and especially if you don't like your bra straps showing, add some kind of bra strap snap/loop at the shoulder to attach the sweater to the bra straps. If you have a well fitted bra, this will help keep the sweater in place on your shoulders. (I just tucked the edge of the sweater under my bra straps to test it out). With both these changes, I couldn't see my bra in the front or back and the sweater was very nice and looked pretty much like the pictures.
Tough fit even in an extra small. Falls of shoulders and you need to wear something under it..
